Flowton Flower Festival

21-22 June 2025

Whilst Flowton is not holding it’s Open Gardens weekend this year, the village is instead flinging open it’s doors for the Fower Festival. The festival – which takes different types of jewel as its theme – will be held in Flowton’s wonderful 700 year-old church. As well as enjoying numerous amazing flower arrangements, visitors will be able to see the church’s extraordinary weathervane featuring a mother and baby elephant. This was donated by a local resident who, as a child of the Raj in the 1920s, had a baby elephant called Daisy. It also remembers a travelling circus that overwintered in Flowton in the 1920s, whose elephant took a daily walk round the village!

Entry is free, and refreshments, snacks and cakes will be on sale throughout the weekend at the church.  A good selection of garden plants will be available to buy, alongside bric-a-brac and books.

Proceeds will go to help maintain St Mary’s Church, Flowton, and to St Elizabeth Hospice, so any donations will be much welcomed.

The flower festival and church will be open from 11.00 am to 4.30 pm on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 June 2025.
